Elk meat is a fast growing protein as it has many health advantages over other red meats. It is a very lean meat containing lower fat levels, particularly cholesterol, versus other red meats, and is a favourite meal choice for those pet owners who are looking for a beef alternative due to an allergy issue. Elk is rich in Vitamin B, phosphorus, zinc and iron and low in sodium.
