Goldenrod is used to reduce pain and swelling (inflammation), as a diuretic to increase urine flow, and to stop muscle spasms. It is also used for gout, joint pain (rheumatism), arthritis, as well as eczema and other skin conditions. Contrary to what many people think - Goldenrod doesn't cause allergies each year - that's ragweed! Goldenrod grows next to ragweed as nature's way of showing you the solution for the itchy, watery eyes and other symptoms that might occur from allergies. Often used to assist with symptoms of colds, flus and sinus congestion.

Those with Asteraceae allergies should exercise caution with goldenrod.
